On January 23, 2026, Planted Earth welcomed industry partners, designers, horticulturists, and green-industry professionals to our annual Planted Earth Winter Conference—a full day of learning, networking, and forward-thinking conversations designed to kick off the year strong.
This year’s theme, “Landscaping 2.0: Rooted in Innovation,” explored how technology, data, and evolving design tools are reshaping the future of landscape architecture, horticulture, and outdoor environments. From smart irrigation systems and drone technology to digital design workflows and integrated site analysis, the conference showcased how innovation can support more sustainable, efficient, and intelligent landscapes.
Attendees enjoyed a robust lineup of expert speakers representing leading companies and disciplines within the green industry. Sessions focused on real-world applications of emerging tools—helping designers and landscape professionals better assess sites, improve water efficiency, streamline collaboration, and make data-driven decisions that benefit both clients and the environment.
In addition to educational sessions, the day included nursery updates, raffles, Q&A discussions, and dedicated time for networking—creating space for meaningful connections and idea-sharing among peers. One of the most exciting milestones of this year’s conference was the ability for qualifying attendees to earn 5.0 LA CES and 5.0 APLD continuing education credits. This achievement reflects Planted Earth’s commitment to delivering high-quality, standards-based education that supports the professional growth of landscape architects and designers.
We are incredibly grateful to our speakers, sponsors, staff, and attendees who made this event such a success. Your engagement, questions, and enthusiasm are what continue to elevate the Winter Conference year after year.
As we look ahead, we’re energized by the conversations sparked at this year’s event and inspired to keep pushing the industry forward—together.
Here’s to an innovative, collaborative, and thriving year in the landscape industry.
